The post-launch roadmap announces Abyssal Direwolf free for every player from July 22–23 launch through August 31, 2026 at 07:00 KST. After the promo ends the Familiar returns to paid DLC pricing at roughly ₩8,600 — claim before the deadline.

How to Claim Abyssal Direwolf

1. On Steam, open the Abyssal Direwolf store page while the free promotion is active and click Add to Library (free until August 31, 2026 07:00 KST).
2. Launch DragonSword: Awakening and open the Codex menu.
3. Navigate to Familiar → Claim to receive the mount in your account.
4. Equip via the Familiar menu when ready. Traversal abilities match paid Familiar variants — cosmetic-only per Hound13 Q&A.
5. If you claimed while the game was already running, restart the client so ownership syncs before equipping.

No external redeem-code menu exists — the Steam library add and in-game Codex claim are the full process. See DLC & Editions for paid costume packs and Patch 1.0.6 summer cosmetics.

Four post-launch heroes (Ryza, Jerome, Veronica, Logan) also arrive free in H2 2026 as content updates rather than paid DLC. Deluxe Edition buyers receive cosmetic Valiant Hatchling Familiar — traversal abilities match free variants per developer Q&A.
