DragonSword: Awakening Keyboard and Mouse Controls
Last updated: June 2026
Default PC keybindings, Tag Combo inputs, and mouse camera tips for optimal combat performance.
Default Keyboard Layout
DragonSword: Awakening assigns movement to WASD, camera control to mouse movement, and combat actions across the left hand while the right hand manages camera and optional mouse clicks for UI prompts. Basic attack typically sits on mouse left click or a keyboard key depending on your preset. Active skills map to E and Q or combination keys in advanced setups. Dodge uses spacebar or Shift based on preset.
Hero swap uses number row keys 1 through 3, matching party slot order. When a Tag Combo window opens after a successful dodge-cancel into skill, pressing 2 instantly swaps to the second hero and executes the Switching Signal. Mouse players benefit from clicking the glowing Tag prompt on the right side of the HUD when timing is tight.
Mouse Camera Management
Without lock-on, mouse look is your primary tool for keeping bosses centered during aerial juggles. High-sensitivity settings help snap back after the game auto-targets a lesser mob during Signal activation. Lower sensitivity improves fine adjustments when mounting large enemies for grab sequences. Experiment in the demo's post-story combat sandbox where all nine heroes are selectable.
Right mouse button often handles secondary functions such as targeting confirmation or special skill modifiers. Check the in-game Basic Combat Text tutorial book — it documents fundamentals even though some UI strings still reflect the older live-service layout.
Recommended PC Settings
Enable sprint toggle if holding shift fatigues your hand during long exploration sessions. Remap Familiar flight to an easily reachable key since aerial traversal unlocks significant map percentage through Eona's Legacy mills. Turn off background mute on tab-out if you want music while reading wiki guides — the demo currently mutes on focus loss, a common community request for the full release.
Pair these bindings with our Tag-Team Combat guide and the Status Ailments breakdown to convert inputs into consistent combo damage.
