DragonSword: Awakening How to Invite Friends for Co-op Hunts and Raids

Last updated: August 2026

Unlock Hunts (story quest 13) and Raids (quest 48), create lobby, share lobby code — no matchmaking.

Co-op Overview — No Matchmaking

DragonSword: Awakening supports co-op for Hunts (two players) and Raids (three players) at launch. There is no automatic matchmaking — you create a lobby, copy a lobby code, and invite friends manually. Solo play grants identical loot per Hound13 design. The Tower of Trials remains solo-only.

When Hunts Unlock

Hunts unlock after completing main story quest 13. Hunts let you replay story bosses across difficulty tiers with optional co-op. Some Hunt entries require deeper story progress — certain routes need up to main quest 77 (Echoes from the Underground) before the full Hunt ladder opens. See Endgame Hunts & Raids for the replay ladder.

When Raids Unlock

Raids unlock after main story quest 48. Raids scale into longer multi-phase fights for up to three players. Read the dedicated Co-op Raids guide for boss mechanics, host rules, and recommended ailment teams.

How to Invite Friends — Step by Step

  1. Open the Hunt or Raid menu from the in-game endgame hub once unlocked.
  2. Select Create Lobby — you become the host.
  3. Copy the displayed Lobby Code.
  4. Share the code with friends through Steam chat, Discord, or any messenger.
  5. Friends select Join Lobby and paste the code, or use Invite Friends if they appear in your friends list.
  6. When all players are ready, the host presses Challenge to start.

Each player brings their own three-hero team. Connection is P2P host-based — wired internet on the host reduces Switching Signal desync during QTE-heavy Raid phases.

Troubleshooting Invite Failures

Patch 1.0.4 fixed invite-code lobby find failures reported at launch. If friends cannot join after updating:

  • Confirm both clients run Patch 1.0.4 or later.
  • Have the guest re-enter the lobby code — codes expire when the host closes the lobby.
  • Restart the client if the host migrated regions or slept the PC mid-session.
  • Try having the guest create a new lobby and swap host if NAT issues persist.

Tower of Trials, main story missions, and Bond Quests remain single-player. For Raid team roles and loot parity details, continue to the Co-op Raids guide.
