DragonSword: Awakening Patch 1.0.4 — Launch-Week Balance and Fixes

Last updated: August 2026

Official July 30, 2026 update: localization polish, combat bug fixes, World Boss reward buffs, gold shop materials, and dozens of quest softlock resolutions.

Patch 1.0.4 Overview — July 30, 2026

Hound13 published Update Notes 1.0.4 on July 30, 2026 — the first substantial post-launch patch after the day-one hotfix chain through Patch 1.0.3. Mirrors on GamerSky and Steam community hubs confirm the changelog covers localization, combat, balance, quest progression, system quality-of-life, and graphics fixes. No new heroes or story chapters shipped — this is a stability and economy pass for launch-week players.

Install the latest Steam build before troubleshooting remaining issues. Ornette-specific Adventure Quest blockers on AQ15–18 received a dedicated follow-up in Patch 1.0.5 the same evening.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Patch 1.0.4?
The first large post-launch patch on July 30, 2026 — localization fixes, combat corrections, World Boss EXP and reward increases, gold shop crafting materials, and extensive Adventure Quest softlock repairs after Patches 1.0.1–1.0.3.
How did World Boss rewards change in 1.0.4?
EXP increased across tiers. Helgo, Andras, and Pakirus now grant 800 corps XP plus 35 Adventurer Badges. Barak, Charon, and Hagen grant 1200 corps XP plus 3 Hourglasses. Octavia, Ravanis, and Balpedin grant 1600 corps XP plus 50 Fragments of Memory. Sudden Mission rewards now include 60 Fragments of Sacred Light.
Do stuck players need to restart after 1.0.4?
Usually no. Update through Steam, verify game files if needed, then retry the blocked quest step. Patch 1.0.4 fixes specific softlocks — if Ornette dialogue still fails on AQ15–18, install Patch 1.0.5 which targets that chain directly.
