Hound13 deployed Patch 1.0.5 on the evening of July 30, 2026 — hours after the larger Patch 1.0.4 — to address a targeted Ornette dialogue softlock blocking mid-campaign Adventure Quest progression. Players reported being unable to advance after selecting Talk to Ornette on several consecutive quests in the phantom thief storyline arc.

How to Recover If Stuck

1. Close DragonSword: Awakening completely — including Steam overlay if open.
2. Allow Steam to download and install Patch 1.0.5 (verify integrity if the update does not appear).
3. Restart the client from a fresh boot.
4. Return to the blocked Adventure Quest and retry Talk to Ornette.

You should not need a new save file for this fix — the patch repairs the interaction trigger rather than resetting quest state. If dialogue still fails after updating, verify your client shows 1.0.5 or later in Steam news and report on the official community hub.
